Educator Standards Committee Databank Form

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) has developed this educator
databank to identify a diversity of educators statewide who can serve on state standards-based
initiatives and who have:
|
- Minimally 10-15 years of experience;
- Demonstrated professionalism and expertise in their content area, field or grade
level; and
- Knowledge of state and national standards including curriculum and teacher standards.

Recommendations are requested from superintendents, assistant superintendents or
principals.
|

|
|
The CSDE will utilize this databank of educators to invite the nominees to participate
as members of variety of committees, including but not limited to:
|
- Content review and/or standard setting committees for certification tests at the state or national level;
- Committees, reviewers or trainers for the Teacher Education and Mentoring (TEAM)
Program;
- Educator preparation program approval teams and report reviewers; and
- Policy committees related to certification, teachers standards, teacher evaluation,
professional development or other areas.

District superintendents will receive copies of committee invitation letters sent
to every nominee.
